SPECIAL EDITION. FAREWELL TO MR WEIGHT.
I The member* of the Canterbury Philosophical Institute met a.t Broadways' this afternoon to say good-bye to Mr A. M. Wright, their secretary, who hoe enlisted in the medical branch of the foroes. Mr L. Birks, the president, on behalf of members, presented Mr Wright with a toilet outfit, and referred to the great work he had dons . for the Institute. BELGIUM FUND. AN IMPORTANT DECISION. At a meeting of the Poor of Great Britain, Ireland and Belgium Relief - Fund executive, held to-day, it was resolved that in future all rr&neys received shall be used to earn the Government's subsidy; alno that all moneys in hand shall be meed for the tame purpose.
