BRIGADIER ARTHUR ELLERSHAW Brigadier Arthur Ellersliaw was born on February -7, 1869, n<d was educated for the Army. Ho became captain iu ISO 9, and ten years Inter was promoted to the rank of major. In 1597 and ISO 3 ho served on the north-west Indian frontier, for wliicli he received a medal with cla-sp. He took part in The South African war, in which ho was severely wounded.
