PEACE MEETINGS IX SOFIA. PARTS, February 29. The snecial correspondent- of the " Petit Parisien " at Snkmica telegraphs that very significant- news is being received from Bulgaria. At Soils., he says, the people held listings in the streets. The soldiers refused to disperse them, ar.d the police were- powerless. Some of these meetings lir.vc- created a. great sensation. Tho speakers went so far as to demand. th-e abdication of King Ferdinand, the enthroning of the Crown Prince, and the withdrawal of the German troops. The present Bulgarian motto would appeal- to ho " Bread <iml Peace." At Uskub tlie tension between the Bulgarians and Germans is such that the latter have had to transport their camp to the right bank of tlie Vardar, the Bulla's biing on the left bauk. Orders have been giv«'n for the Bulgarian sentinels to fire on p.ny Germans who attempt to cross the bridge uniting the. two camps. Bulgarian officers are unable to enter the two ramps. German officers are unable to elite)- the Bulgarian camps unless accompanied by a Bulgarian officer. These relations do not, at all look as if they arc about to improve. Bather is it the other way about.
