The German newspapers are not allowed! to comment on the Casement adventure, but quote Dutch Press telegrams regarding the trouble in Ireland. The prevalent feeling in Germany is that Casement's attempt to land arms was a fiasco, owins to the Navy's watchfulness, hut that hope should not he abandoned. The "Volk Zeitung" states that had the adventure succeded it would have had' an immense influence on American feeling towards Germany, but as things happened it would do little good. ARCHBISHOP'S VIEW. (Received April 29. 10 a,m.) SYDNEY, April 29. Referring to tho Irish rebellion, Archbisbop Kelly said that the Government, in following hesitating lines of action regarding Homo Rule had furnished the occasion for the propagation of disaffection. The rebellion was the untimely ebullition of a rankling and 011-oonceived" patriotism.
