DISCHARGED SOLDIERS.

FREE MEDICAL ATTENTION. [Per Press Association.3 WELLINGTON, April 11. In future every man who has been a. soldier and is discharged will, in the event of sickness supervening arising out of a wound supposed to have healed, or any other form of illness, be entitled on application to the Health Department to receive curative treatment in exactly the same way as if he were still a soldier. The matter will be administered by an Officers' Department throughout the Dominion, and applicants will be examined bv the medical officer of the district who acts for the Department, and must promise in writing to subject themselves to discipline the same as that of a soldier. TFo Minister of Public Health estimates that the Department will be able to handle 2000 men when the rush takes place at the end of the war.
