A German wireless says:— " South-west of Betjuncourt tho enemy sought to avoid danger by a hasty retreat, but the Silesians cut them off" and inflicted sanguinary losses. Wo captured 200 unwounded men, two guns and thirteen machine guns. We also cleared the front due north of tho village of Avocourt and south of Crow's Wood ravine, and the south-west of Poivro Hill."
