A meeting of the Patriotic Executive today resolved to send £K>fK) to the- Belgian, and £3OOO to the Herbian Fund. The Mayor of Auckland telegraphed, stating; that it had been suggested that the Government shouJd lie nppronchocl hy the Potriotic Societies and asked for :i SI for Jtl subsidy for the Serbian Fund, -and thus puttingit in tho sarae position as the Belgian Fund. If the Otago Association would edviso as to it? views, joint representations might be runde io the Government, It was ogrf.ed to refer the matter to the Advisory Board.
