Dr Bertram went out, a lit! found the children apparently suflering from acute enteritis. He ascef» rained that they had eaten raw raushmont*. but they may have eaten, fungus. The symptoms were consistent, with those of poisoning. One child, Rene, aged three years and teamonths, died on Tuesday, and another,. Version, aged sixteen months, late onThursday night.)
