ROUND VERDUN.

GERMANS EJECTED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received Apr£ 8, 1.40 p.m.) PARIS, April 7. A communique says that the Germans covered -with a violent bombardment our positions between Bethincourt and Hill 265. They penetiated the first line of trenches along the road from Bethincourt to Chattancourt, but our counter-attack ejected them from the greater part of the ground. The enemy only holds some advanced elements on a front of three hundred metres. We continue to progress in the enemy communication trenches south-west of Fort Douaumont.
