LAST YEAR'S FIGURES. [Pee Pkkss Association.] WELLINGTON, January 29. A return showing the shipments of beet', mutton and iamb for flie year ended December 31 is to hand. The beef from the North Island totalled 405.650 quarters, mutton 1,827,194 carcases, lamb 1.501,361 carcases; South. . beef 97,204 quarters, mutton LOOB,9SS lamb 12,212,664 carcases. Tim Imperial purchases no;:i March 3 to January 27 were:—North Island: Beef quarters, mutton 1.591,539 carcases, lamb 1,264,859 carcases; .South Island: Beef 8.1,674 quarters, i; 1111 ton 754,634 carcases, lamb 2,139,618' carcases.
