HEAVY FIGHTING ON THE TIGRIS.

The High Commissioner reports, London, January 10. 4.55 p.m.:— Mr Austen Chamberlain, in the House of Commons, announced that heavy fighting, occurred both banks of the Tigris on Friday, and two enemy fiuns and 700 prisoners were taken by the British.
