OFFICIAL ADVICE TO BE GIVEN. The Press Association states that the Parliamentary War Savings Committee will shortly issue an authoritative booklet fullv illustrating tho possibilities of saving "by all classes. This has been prepared with the assistance of experts in the various branches of ecomony, and while it is impossible to cover indetail tho whole of this vast field, the suggestions given will enable everybody to economise on tho right lines. As tho Press have already done so much to instruct their readers in this a'd-important subject, to them will fall tho opportunity of first making public the chief suggestions in the book. The booklet to be issued by the Parliamentary War Savings Committee will bo written in simple language, and will roughly be divided into the following heads:— (1) Why it is essential to the victorious conclusion of the war that we should save. (2) How we can all have, and the influence of women on economy. (3 Tho necessity of saving on imported goods. (4) Wasto of food and its economy in war time. (5) What foods are essential, together with examples of substitutes for meat, etc. (6) Specimen meals giving the greatest nutrition at tho least cost. (7) 'Notes on economical cookery. (8). How to grow more food, and how everyone living in country districts can help in' this.
