Father, wo cry to Thee, Lord of the land and sea, Fii-marnent, space, and air And the bright Hosts of Prayer, Founder of peace iti strife, Soul of the smallest life, Wisdom and Love and Power. Shepherd of spirits brave, Hear at this awful hour, Help us and save. Lift ne above a world Over which Death has hurled Whirlwind and rage defiled. Lead it, ao 'twere a child, Through all this waste and fear To our transformed sphere Where, after all is dome— Anguish and havoo redAll shall be well and one— Quick from the Dead. : —Walter Bichel, in " Westminster Gazette."
