A semi-official statement, replying to ; the French and Hussion Press, says ! that Bulgaria mobilised in order to face : the now situation, and to assure her | national existence, and ber future. She ! threatened nobody, and still hopes for I a pacific settlement, taking her in- | terests into account. The semi-official journal " Narodni Prava" says:—"The Government is ! nowise following the policy of adventure. The country can be assured that the Government will not adopt any hasty action, and, if obliged to make armed intervention, it will be only after all peaceful methods are exhausted The Turco-Bulgarian agreement is the first fruits of the Government's policy. Other i successes will follow."
