Sir Edward Grey, foVowing b'"s statement in regard to Bu'garia, said that information hatd been re*ceived that Austro-Gerroan officers for several days had been arriving in Bulgaria with a ▼iew to taking an active part in directing the army. This action was similar c to that taken in Turkey in 1914, when German officers forced Turkey to iroprovokedly attack Russia. Sino« the Allied Powers were bound to support States threatened by such proceedings as those in Bulgaria, the news was regarded as of the utmost gravity. The High Commissioner reports:— LONDON, October 1 (8.20 p.m.). Sir. Edward Grey states that information has been received that German and Austrian officers are arriving in Bulgaria, with a view to their directing the Bulgarian army. The action ' is similar to that of last year in forcing Turkey, unprovoked, to attack Russia. Since the Allies are bound to support the States threatened by such proceedings the news is regarded as of the atmost gravity.
