"THE THIRD."
DISGRACING THE UNIFORM.
An infantryman on leave appeared at the Police Court this morning in uniform charged with drunkenness. Ho admitted the offence.
Mr H. W. B shop, addressing the soldier, remarked: "Do you think it creditable to your uniform that you should appear before "me like this? You are the third in three days that has been before me. If you don't consider the obligations cast on you to lead a decent and sober life at any rate for the present while you are in uniform, nothing I can say will make any difference. You are converted and discharged."
