OBITUARY.
BISHOP MOORHOUSE.
By Tolagraph—Piess Association—Copyright. (Received April 10, 10 a.m.) LONDON, April 9. The death is announced of the Right Rev Bishop Moor house, aged eightynine years. (The late Bishop Moorhouse was born, in 1826, and was educated at St John's College, Cambridge. His first appointment was to the curacy of St Neot's in 1853, and two years later he was appointed to a similar position in Sheffield. Aftdr four years' ministration in the latter city, he was transferred to Hornsey, ami in 1862 became vicar or St John's, Fitzrov Square. From 1867 to 1876 he filled the position of vicar ol Paddington and rural d'esut. Ho was the Warburtonian lecturer in 1874. In 1874 he became chaplain-in-ordinary and prebendary of C'addington Major in St Paul's Cathedral. Two years later he was appointed to the. bishopric, of Melbourne, and held that important post for ten years., when he left Australia to assume the duties of Bishop of Birmingham. He finally retired m 1903. Bishop Moorhouse was a prolific writer on church matters.)
