Taylor and ||fc>trnrfl Thomas Mullens have been awarded distinguished eerwe medals for their conduct during the action between the Sydney and the Etxiden. Lieutenant-Commander Palmes, of the torpedo Ifoat 043, has been awarded the distinguished serviee order for ' disabling Turkish boats crossing the Suez Canal on February 3. He displayed great bravery though severely wcfljnded. ! Lieutenant Oerew ba-s Iwn awarded 'the* distignuished sendee cross for diri ecting and' piloting the Hardinge : though shells shattered his log, broke bis arm and caused other wounds.
