Swindlers rvr reminded that entries close for the various swimininy; events in connection with. the Carnival on Thursday next, at the secretary's office, ..New Brighton. Tho Fire Brigade lias announced its intention of giving an illuminated water display on the evening of the Carnival, in conjunction with tho Motor Club's river procession. Nothing of tho kind has over been attempted in New Brighton before, and 1 everything points to a most- successful d % Tramway Board has offered io : supply electric light and fitting* to illu- : the river bank at night, and 1 lie Various tents and .stalls will also be electrically lit- line weather is_t.no ' only thing wanted to make the garnering one of the most smteesshil rvev held in Brighton.
