British shipowners are seeking to charter German steamers which have hoen detained in British ports, during the war, and to exchange them for captured Britsh ships after the war is over. San Marino, the smallest republic of 'the world, is aroused, its indignation reaching fever-heat against Germany in consequence of the charge that the local wireless is interrupting the official despatches to the Austrian fleet in the Adriatic and is communicating them to the Allies.
