TO-DAY'S LIST. (Before Mr H. W. Bishop. 5 M ) "DRUNKENNESS. A first- offender was fined ."5s with the usual alternative on a eliarga of drunkenness.. Michad Hughes, a statutory second offender, was "fined' 10s, m default forty-eight horns' imprisonment VAGRANCY. Elizabeth Ward, alias Gillies, pleaded guilty to a charge of \mng found by night without lawful excuse on private premises, and was convicted and committed to the Salvation Army Home for twelve months. THEFT. Thomas George Henry Afontague, aged twenty-three,-alias* Roy Manion, was charged with the theft of £s, the property of Matilda Turvey. ChiefDetective Bishop said that, this was accused's first offence, and !-e had repaid £1 10s already. The Magistrate ordered Montague to repay the whole of the stolen amount, and gave him four weeks in which to mike restitution. On this understanding arretted was convicted and discharged.
