ARTILLERY DESTROYED THE ENEMY'S TRENCHES AND BREASTWORKS BETWEEN JONCHERY AND SOUHAIN. THE ENEMY MINED AND BLEW UP THE FRENCH TRENCHES WESTWARD OF HAUTE-CHEVAUCHEE, IN THE ARGONNE. THIS WAS FOLLOWED BY A VIOLENT ATTACK, WHICH, HOWEVER, WAS REPULSED WITH THE BAYONET,
