The Allies expelled 0000 Germans
from Bruges
A great Belgian success is reported
at Roulors, the Germans being driven
with considerable losses at Pitthem
The Germans ou Sunday ordered a
strong force, mostly youths under
twenty,.to cross the Yser at all costs-
Thev failed in their task and the losses
are estimated at nearly 10 per cent
British warships were of great ser-
vice in bombarding the Germans ad-
vancing on Nieuport
The Germans, strongly posted at
Lebizat, near Armentieres, desperately
attempted to break through the Allies'
line. The combat lasted from dawn
to midday, the Germans then weaken-
ing under heavy artillery fire. Eventu-
ally the Germans' position was stormed
at the point of the bayonet, and 375
Germans, captured. The fight -is ..pro-
ceeding'between Ypres and Lille. •
