The theft of a pm-sc_ containing £b was reported to the polico to-day by a vounc man. who said that it had been amine £b •-day by a "stolen from a room in which ho and his brother were sleeping. The case was investigated by Detective-Sergeant Cox, who by midday, had arrested tho brother, a. youth of eighteen or nineteen, who was 'in possession of a quantity of gold and silver, and sundry recent purchases, including a box of cigars, a new razor, and bottles of liair oil.
