KAISER NOT AN ENEMY.

W.T.G. writes as follows to the London " Daily Mail" ; Sir, —Who says the Kaiser is our enemy. For my part I think he is the best friend! we have ever had Look at what we were some six weeks ago. One half the nation ready to out the throat of the other half. We could not call each other by bad enough names. And now. Politicians of all sides, instead of trying to obtain some petty party advantage over the other, all striving together for tho nation's good. Look at all classes, especially our young men for the first time taking on the responsibility of Empire. Look at India, with its native princes and troops fighting side by side with us. Will this comradeship in arms ever be forgotten ? Look a-t South Africa, our quondam enemy, making our quarrel theirs. Look at our Dominions with their munificent gifts of men and' material. Will there not bo a far greater solidarity of Empire when this War is over than has ever been Wore? I say again the Kaiser has been our best of friends.
