THE WEATHER.
The sky in Christchurch this morning was cloudy, hut cleared later, and bright sunshine prevailed tor the rest of the day. The conditions m New Zealand are becoming unsettled again. Blue skies were in evidence at Auckland and all northernmost stations. Cloudy and misty weather held sway elsewhere in the North Island. _ Fine sprin<>- weather was general in the South' the only exception being Greymouth, Nuggets and the Bluff, _ where threatening skies wiere experienced. Light southerly to westerly winds and moderate seas predominated m the Dominion. The following is the Government Meteorologist's forecast:-" The indications are for variable and moderate breezes, westerly, moderate to strong prevailing, freshening. Weather cloudy to overcast. Barometer unsteady, with a falling tendency.
