On the Rangiora green the- season's play has now commenced in earnest, chief interest being centred in a handicap singles competi- ' tion and two-bowl doubles competition. For the first there are twenty-four entries, and fourteen pairs are engaged in the doubles, [n which several games have already been decided. On Monday a progressive doubles tournament will be played, commencing at ten o'clock.
