DUTCH PREPARING.
FEAR AN ATTACK. (Received October 13, 3.25 p.m.) LONDON, October 12. Mr Arthur .Kitson writes in the "Morning Post" that the Dutch believe that the fall of Antwerp will lead to an attack on Flushing. Troops are hurrying to Flushing, and barricades are being erected and trenches dug at Venloo. Meanwhile, Holland is strictly neutral. (Flushing, a fortified seaport, is at the mouth of the Western Scheldt.) An Amsterdam message says that Yon Dugoltz sent a mission to Holland to ask for fooclstffs for Brussels. The request was refused. The Dutch Government is closely watching all exports. The emissaries pleaded that Brussels has no salt, yeast or flour, and scarcely any meat, while the bread is uneatable.
