♦ ' [Per Press Association.] MARTON, October 13. At the Police Court this morning, D. R- Cooke, late secretary of the Alarton Farmers' Union, was charged with failing to account for the following moneys:—Due to the Wellington Meat Export Company, £6O 7 s lid; Wsinganui Meat Company, £lll 6s 3d; Gear Meat Pressing Company, £l6 16s 8d; F. Edwards, Palmerston North, £4-1 8s; making his total deficiency, less credit at the bank, £228 3s 2d. Cooke pleaded guilty and was committed to the Supreme Court, "Wellington for sentence. ■ I
