Mr Henars Pehi Parata, of the Native Land Court, who died suddenly in Auckland last Friday, was only 28 years of age. He ffas_ a son of Mr Henaro Parata, of Wellington (late of Greytown), a grandson of the Hon T. Parata, M.L.CT. and a nephew of Mr C, R. Parata, M.P. He was born at Waikouaiti, Otrgo, wns educated at the Native College at Clareville, Wairarapa, and entered the Civil Service when he had completed his education. Before being associated with Chief Justice Palmer, ho was a clerk to Judge Gilfedder. Ho leaves a widow, but no children.
