AMUSEMENTS.

QUEEN'S THFATFE. - "The star film of the new programme submitted at the Queen's Theatre yesterday was one of considerable merit, and from beginning to end it held tho closo interest of the audience. The story began with the endeavour of a young woman to. obtain possession of a paper which, in the hands of its owner, would have considerably- compromised her father's chance of success in a law suit in which he was then engaged. After some exciting adventures the owner of the document voluntarily burnt it and subsequently received across the telephone a message to the effect that the young lady had agreed to marry him The plot hinged upon the close resemblance between a society man and a "crook," both parts being played in a very clever manner by the same actor. " When the Heart Changes" was a strong supporting drama. It told how a rejected lover, six years afterwards, found the lost child of his former sweetheart, who was now the wife of another man. He kept the child for a time in his mountain homo, but one day tho parents happened to motor out to tho country, and to their great .joy had the child unexpectedly restored to them. "Samarkand and Ancient Mosques" was an interesting scenic film, and a humorous comedy was entitled " Witllcs Goes to tho Dentist." The topical Budget which depicted recent happenings in various parts of the world concluded an interesting programme, which will be repeated to-day.
