CHARGED WITH THEFT.
A SPRINGFIELD CASE. Elizabeth Mary Mason appeared before M> H. W. Bishop, S.3L, to-day on a charge of having stolen a ring valued at £5 from Elizabeth Polton at Springfield. She denied that she had stolen the ring, and was commencing to state that she picked tho ring up when her statement was cut short by tho Magistrate remanding her for a week.
