AGRICULTURAL SHOW.
ASHBURTON. ' [Peb Press Associatiox.] . ASHBURTON, March 18. The Ashburton Agricultural and Pastoral Association's second autumn show, which is also its thirty-seventh annual exhibtion, was opened this morning in dull, overcast weather. While the total entries _in each ot the stock sections ftro slightly lower than, those of last year, the increase in dairy produce, farm and garden produce and miscellaneous classes is so pronounced that tho grand total has established a ne.w record, the figures being for 1913, the previous record, 1748, whilst at the present show the total is 1843. The judging of the sheep, cattle, pigs and produce classes was in progress all day, and the first day's competitions ycere commenced at noon. The attendance was small to-day, bnt a very large crowd is expected to-mor-row (Peonle's Day). The Association's membership, is now seven hundred.
