Sir, —Referring to tho growth of Ritualism in the Church of England, I think the following little story is good enough for notice: —When looking over one of tho country churches in England, and having a chat with the old verger, I remarked that I supposed his church, like everything else nowadays, was going- ahead. " Oh,' yes, mum," he replied, " when I fusfc cum •'ero the old parson used to call me the -Janitor; after he died' the next "man altered mv name to the Sextant, and later changed it,to the-Virgin,'..and- now this 'eie (lean .shaved parson calls mo tho Sacrilege."—l am, «?tc.. : , MIUSED.
