A deputation representing the Citizens' Committeo which acted during the strike waited on tho Minister of Justice yesterday to draw lib attention to the fact that a number of tho unions which went on strike recently in defiance of tho Arbitration Act in sympathy with the watersiders and others had 'not been prosecuted. It was pointed out that, there wero eighteen such unions in New Zealand, and the deputntion' urged that the law ought to be put in action against ( them- • _ ■ f Tho Minister said that the duty or instituting proceedings under the Arbitration Act. did not rest with his Department, but with tho Labour De- - partment. . He undertook to inform the Minister' of Labour.of what tlio deputation had represented.
