AQUATIC.
AVON BOWING CLUB. • A special general meeting of members of the Avon Rowing Club was held last night, Mr TrL. Berry presiding over a large attendance. It was decided to purchase a best and best convertible double sculler and j>air-oar boat, an Australian-built boat being recommended- It was also decided to purchase a clinker double sculler, to arrive in time for the opening of"next season. It was decided that the takings on the billiard table should be sot aside as a mortgage extinction fund. The annual smoke concert was fixed for April 6. A motion of condolence with, the friends and relatives of the late E. G. Ashby, one of tlio club's vice-presidents, was passed.
