COUNCIL LIMITS AREA. BANNED FROM CENTRE OF CITY, "With the .object -of driving street hawkers out of the city, the By-laws Coirwuitu'o recommended tlio City Council last night to prohibit hawkers from plying their trade in an ft re a between Lichfield Street and Armagh Street, bounded on the east by Manchester Street and on the west, by a lino drawn parallel with the west side of Cathedral Square, but extending to Oxford Terrace between Cashel and Hereford Streets. This plan proposed to leave open half of Hereford, Worcester and Gloncoster Streets between the Terrace and Colombo-Street, and the whole of Armagh Street from the river- to Colombo Street. The report was adopted without discussion.
