Renter's St Petersburg correspondent reports that a hurricane in Kuban province, caused the Serazoff River to rise nine feet and inundate Staritza and Achyyrska,ia. A thousand persons perished. . Two hundred workmen were drowned while asleep. Three hundred and eighty buildings at Achyyi'skaja were sw«pt away. Tliere were also floods at Yasonkija, where one hundred and fifty • persons were drowned.
