They locked the oashier and accountant in a back room and escaped with all the available cash, amounting to several thousand pounds. Police are pursuing them. During their flight the thieves dropped £IOOO of the stolen money. Constables Bourbon and Gnyon surprised two' men breaking into a shop at St Laurent. The burglars, with revolvers, shot Bourbon dead and seriously wounded Guyon.
