The protected area on the water- • f rout j J Which was extended to-day, included j the railway wharf, where nine, coasters- and the Fyner steamer Muri-tar-are berthed, but work will not bo started there'on an extended scale lor a day or two. The Harbour Board wharf extension works, which were suspended whin a general strike was called, were reeuniedthis morning, between sixty and seventy of a total of 300 previously employed having returned to work. Picketing is being much more strictly prosecuted in the city and suburbs than hitherto. ; EXHIBITION WORKERS. V MEN WORK AGAIN. ' ' [Psb Press Association.] AUCKLAND* November 17. There has been a renewal of activity at the Exhibition, and 220 men have returned. They are busily e'iigaged inside and outside, in addition to the \birty employed at W 7 onderland.
