[Per Piuess Association.] HOKITIKA, November 17. t A narrow escape from,a. fatal aoci"dent happened at Runu'last evening," when' an eleven-year-old son of Mr David Spenoe, coach proprietor, fell down a sixty-foot disused shaft. Luckily prospectors some ten years ago bad erected a etaging at the thirtyfoot level for prospecting. This 6aved the lad falling to the bottom, and he sscaped with bruises and the breaking of the right leg above the ankle.
