NEW YORK, November 13. , Mr Paish, editor of the " Statist," in an interview said that he expected that a lower cost of living would soon prevail. Financial stringency meant that the demand for goods is likely to decrease, leading to overproduction, thus tending to lower prices. Mr. Paish thought that a reaction in tho world's trade was now due. Ho did not think : it likely to be serious, but there would be an abnormally quiet period.
