A letter addressed to the Bombaj "Pioneer" exploded in a mail train, injuring tie" sorter. Similar explosions occurred in several. newspaper offices, but did no damage. While Colonel Muspratt, .Inspector- . General, of was examining . a letter addressed to a Calcutta Englishman, it exploded. His moustache and eyebrows were burned off, and the skin, of his face peeled off, and his eyes narrowly escaped.
