Gasparo Boscarino, a jeweUer of - Naples, was robbed of jewellery Valued at £20,000. , The police searched several fruitshops without result, but later noticed some urchins playing with jewels in the gutter. They confessed that they had stolen oranges and citrons, in ' which thoy found the precious stones. ■: The' police then re-examined the shop aad-fouaJ the rest of the stones hidden in <h» fruit. The shopkeeper was arrested.
