FIRES.
HOMESTEAD ABLAZE

MARTON. November 12. A homestead two miles from town, comprising two storeys, thirteen rooms in all, occupied by Mr W. Howe, was destroyed by fire yesterday afternoon. The outbreak was probably due to a defective, chimney. The building was insured for £SOO in the National Office. The insurances on the furniture were not available.
