FIRES.
"* About half-past nine o'clock last nieht the Fire Brigade was called out +o a fire in a four-roomed cottage-at No 33. Hutchinson Street, Syaenham. The building was owned by Mr Kama and occupied by Mr Owen A. Gordon, of th© insuißiico oil "til© building were not available. The contents were insured in the Phcemx Office for £230. and some goods owned bv Mrs H Fibber were insured in tno State Office for £l3O. The fire did a good deal of damage to both building and contents. - . Shortly before two o clock this 1 morning the fire brigade received an i ala r m froTU the box at the corner or Sprinafbeid and Holly Roads. . On ■ arrival ft small cottage at the oack of No. 149. Holly Road, was found ablaze. The house, which was conipletelv gutted, was owned by Mr Edward Brett., of New Brighton, and was used as an artist's studio by that gentleman. No particulars regarding insurances could be ascertained this
