A Berlin message says that during the demolition of a fort at ICoenigsberg a shell exploded, and killed four meu. FALL OF A OLIFF. By the fall of a cliff at Hotting Dean seven workmen were buried and two were killed. [Per Press Association.] WHANGAREI, February 1. Thomas Ellis and his three sons were beating out fires at Jordan yesterday when a tree fell, striking the second son, Donald, on the head and back, inflicting deep wounds and bruises. He died three hours later from shock. The deceased was thirteen years old. DUNEDIN, February 1. Edith Grace Goodson, fourteen years of ago, of Saddle Hill, received severe injuries through being accidentally shot by her brother. The latter was walking out df the house when the trigger of liis gun caught on something, and the weapon was discharged, the contents lodging in the girl's neck and shoulders. She was removed to the hospital. ■
