Days' Motor Cycle Trials. King Dick I Singers again Victorious. The results of the recent Motor Cycle , Trials from Christchurch to Hanmer, ; Cheviot and back, and thence to Akaroa, has caused a considerable amount of interest. The most remarkable feature of the trials was the marvellous achievements attained by the i"IXED ENGINE Machines. Prior to the contest it was considered almost an impossible task to ask any 3ih.p. fixed engine to complete a journey ■ so "severe as the one selected. Yet in the Private Owners' Class. Mr. Pinwell, on a h.p. SINGER (FIXED ENGINE) not only completed the journey, but secured Second Place, being beaten only by a machine fitted with a 3-SPEED GEAR, Mr. Bullock, on a 3Jh.p.
