THE 'LAMBETH CONFERENCE. United Press Association—By Electric A Telegraph—Copyright. (Received January 131, 10 a.m.) LONDON. January 30. Tho Labour Conference fit Lambeth adopted a rule enforcing discipline within the party in the House of Commons. Mr Will Thorne said that the thirteen Socialists would never agree with the twenty-seven Trade Unionists on economic questions. Tho parliamentary party was instructed by 850 vote* to 437 to oppose any Franchise Bill which excluded women. Sir P. Snowden said that* Labour ehouid demand a Government measure. Women's position was infinitely worse than it was a year ago, and a divided Cabinet must not obstruct the expressed will of the majority of the House.'
The Labourite newspaper, the "Daily Herald," describes the conference at Lambeth as a greater farce than usual, as the delegates went there to register the decrees of the inner caucus.
