Work on the tracks this morning was of an uninteresting character, and half. to steady pacing was practically nil that was attempted by the horses exercised. After breakfast Imp (Hagerty) negotiated four flights of hurdles, and performed creditably for a beginner. Parable, who arrived from Dnnedin yesterday, was out, and did steady pacing; she is looking well. My Lawyer and Mosgiel, looking little the worso for their exertions at tho Wellington meeting, were also out doing steady pacing-. R. Berry, the North Island light-weight horseman, arrived from Wellington yesterday. He will do the light riding for G. MnrrayAynsley's stable on Saturday. C. Emerson will pilot Tannkauser in the Midsummer Handicap. L. Wilson arrived yesterday from Wellington. He will do the light riding for Messrs Stead Bros, at the C.J.C. Midsummer Meeting. '
